This popped up! My plastic must be on the way! I get to go home Sunday, so hopefully it's there when I check the mail Monday morning! It won't do a whole lot for me, but need and don't have it, then I'd be crying. 7 Weeks and 3 days for status change. Looks like they're still gonna meet the 60 day mark, even with my snags!
Congrats! You're almost there. Mine only took two days from my status change to show up in my mailbox, and I'm nowhere near Austin.
Then hopefully it will be there when I get home, I would check sooner, but I am out of town, which kind of makes it hart to relay how fast it took from notification to plastic.

Congrats. Sitting at day 40 right now, if they keep under the 60 day for me, it'll be an early Christmas present.
I bet you'll hear back soon partner, I'd suggest a little reminder call every now and then, and you'll have it before you die of impatience! Oh what a relief it is to see that status change finally.

And here I am clawing at the walls with 36 days... :banghead: Still no change; called and confirmed they received all my paperwork. Should contact officials I voted for this mid-term elections; get them to cash the vote they got from me...
:smilelol5:
Good luck with that! Let me know how it turns out! I didn't get to vote, since I worked during every day of polling through polling hours... I am still very pleased how it turned out though, even though my support was not there.

Re: "Waiting Room"

Six weeks and Six days, still waiting patiently. Checked again, and they have everything now, and they're processing, so I have to wait to find out the outcome. I wish they'd send it already... but I was just thinking about it, I need a new wallet just to hold my ID's Licenses... :grumble

I may be dropping my LEO status soon, so it would be nice to have my CHL. I just can't do this crap anymore.

Re: "Waiting Room"

Talked to Them again today, and they advised me they have no recieved my emails or mailed packets. They gave me an actual email over the phone of one of the managers to get this taken car of. After emailing said person with attatched paperwork, I was emailed back that it has been recieved, and to expect 2/4wks processing. Week six, and looking at possibly getting my plastic after the process of 2-4 weeks, which would be 8-10wks before mailed. :???:

Re: "Waiting Room"

Just go off the phone with the hotline again. According to them, they recieved my form 100 and all documents were good to go, except the form 100 was missig information at the top of the page, so the sent me a notification letter. (Still not recieved) I asked them about my second copies I emailed them 1 werk ago, and I was told that a form 100 was recieved along with an address change note on the 21st of last month. I'm waitingfor another call back, because I though I forgot to fill everyting out, but everythin was filled out correctly. Just calling again to harass them for some more information. Note that one week ago I was informed they had yet to recieve the form 100 or note.

If only the DMV had people like that!:

lol u got more of of them then i usually get :P usually i just get the blanket " 6 weeks or more " if i call
If I do recall, she said something along the lines of, "everything else has already processed and is ready to go, and we just need the certificate." I wonder if she literally means that, and they'll ship it out once they confirm the papers! :woohoo

I am current law enforcement, and I reside out of Bexar County. That being said, I have a squeky clean record, and I am not worried about any background issues. Any comments or personal suggestions? (And yes, I used snail mail, but I live rurally without internet. Posting by phone.)

You're not alone. I'm on day 38 and haven't gotten anything from them either.
I would be satisfied if I don't have to wait as long as you already have. :biggrinjester:

But I know it's going to be a while, but I just want to get some reassurance that they received it!
Give them a call at (512) 424-7293. They will usually at least tell you whether or not they have received your information. Whether or not you get more information than that seems to depend on who you get.
I called the number provided, and after a 30min talk with the extremely helpful gal on the other sode, she had discovered that my packet was never recieved, and at this point, it could be assumed it is lost. The sent me a letter, but in my letter to them, I sent a notifcation of mailing Address change, they they sent it to the wrong place. She then advised me to email or fax them the papers, and I advised her I am deployed to a worksite for 30 more days, and that I have no access to a scanner or fax machine. She then told me that if I could get a good photo of my papers, and emailed them in Jpeg format? I think I can do that off of my I-phone 4, and email it from here in the middle of nowhere! Do ya'll think it will be the right format for them?

When you log in as a returning user, do you see a link to change your address or report a lost license? If you do, it's in the mail.
No pawpaw (Hard putting that, being it's what we call my wife's father!), I still just get this message. :???:
CHL APPLICATION STATUS: If you have a pending CHL application, please allow sufficient time for processing. If you have not already done so, please submit all of the items listed on the checklist you received. DPS will notify you by mail if further information or additional documents are required.

Day 29 and counting. :rules:
