I think its the fact that alcohol and tobacco have been around for centuries. They are ingrained into almost all societies. I used smoke and I still enjoy a drink. I will say pills are becoming a serious problem in college. So many kids rely on addarol (sp?) to study for tests and to stay up late during parties.
