Re: MD: Don't bring a gun to a knife fight...

I was just searching for updates to this story. Nothing really new, altho when I read other versions from the same time frame, it appears that the deceased robber had just robbed another store in the same block as the restaurant.

One thing I had not noticed earlier tho, is that the news account I linked did not give the names of hubby and wife. Neither did any of the other accounts I read. The restaurant is ID'd by name and location, so it wouldn't be hard to find out, but for once, no names of the victims/defenders. Interesting.

I also found some "interesting" websites that have this story. "gorypg.blogspot.com" "bodyfound.net" There is a website for just about anything, I guess.

MD: Don't bring a gun to a knife fight...

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/201 ... stifiable/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Restaurant: Pregnant wife tending cash register, hubby in the back cooking. Man comes in and demands money. Wife screams, thug beats her with handgun. Hubby comes out of kitchen with butcher knife. Fight ensues, hubby cuts thug "multiple times" on head, neck, body. Thug flees. Police find him three hours later sitting in a car. Thug dies at hospital.

Thug was imprisoned for robbery in 2003, let out on probation, went back to prison for probation violation; two years after sentence ended, robbed and caught again, and amazingly enough, was out on probation for that robbery when his career abruptly ended.

Cops are checking to see if he might be involved in any other recent robberies.

Cops do not anticipate any charges against hubby.
