Re: DPS Encounter at the Capital on 1/19/2013
This past week I went to State Capitol with a business group to meet with our State Representative. I was carrying under my suit coat and approached the CHL side as my friends went through the metal detectors. A very nice female DPS officer moved over to the CHL scanner, handed her my license, she s...

Re: Disappointed in Uncle Mike's Holster
Look at D.M Bullard, they are Texas made, you cannot get any more American than that.... :txflag: The D.M. Bullard are some nice looking holsters. That 20 week turn around may be a draw back for me. In the past, I've ordered holsters from UBG Holsters in Utah. Never dissappointed in Nate's work, wi...

Disappointed in Uncle Mike's Holster
Went to Gander Mountain to purchase an IWB Uncle Mike's holster for a Sig P238, to my disbelief, "Made in Vietnam" stamped on the package and holster label. Left it hanging on the shelf and will find another option. Give me American made!

Re: Ammo Shortage
There's no "ammo shortage" in the country. It's in the gun safes. closets, garages, and sheds of at least 48% of the population old enough to buy it. With more stored under the beds of many of those who are not. ;-) A bunch of old white guys cleaned the ammo shelves. Wish I bought an 18 w...

Re: Holster, but no gun???
Be careful wearing an IWB holster without a gun. If it is a molded holster, without a gun, you can take the shape out of the holster pressing it against your body and pants. This is from UBG Holsters, Care Instructions http://ubgholsters.com/care.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return...

Re: [How-To] Spot a hidden gun
So are they saying that I can't wear my bermuda shorts (pocket pistol) and denim jacket (shoulder holster) with my white socks (ankle holster) and my sandals at the same time?

Re: Taco Cabana customer services department response
I had a reply from her last year when I gripped about 30.06 signs and received an email saying Taco Cabana didn't allow firearms on their property. Since then, they must have changed their policy.

Re: Looking for Private CHL Instructor near Houston
In days of old when knights were bold, you could find classes with only a 2 or 3 people taking the CHL class. Now with Obama craziness, most instructors are booked 3 months ahead with a full class. Obama has been good to the CHL instructor economy.

Re: Good summer carry
If you want a good concealable gun, then I suggest the Bersa Ultra Compact 9. 13 rd. magazine and not that heavy. Can be purchased at the gun shows around $330 and very dependable. I have Sigs, Glocks, S&W and Rugers but I like carrying my Bersa better than all of them. My next favorite conceal ...
