I've bought my Shield 9 brand new 4 months ago and shot at least 800 rounds thru it to date. I've experienced maybe 1-2 FTF (failure to feed) out of 100 however I narrowed it down to one of my extra 8 rnd mag's. It has a noticiably stiffer spring tension than the other mag's and the only time that happens is when I use that mag... Interesting...

I LOVE this pistol! It pretty much eats what ever I feed it however I seem to get the best groups using 124 gr. or 147 gr ammo Vs 115 target loads... Monarch brass from Academy gets a big thumbs up for inexpensive target shooting. WWB feels weak in comparison. Remington UMC is good. Winchester Train & defend is awesome! And I carry the "Defend" in my Shield. So far the best groups is using 124 gr. FMJ from Freedom Munitions.. They opened a outlet store in NW Houston!
