Re: How many days if I mailed Aug 12 priority

Mailed mine on Aug 8th, Certified Mail, and received confirmation of receipt in Mail Room as of Aug 11th, but still nothing on website. See below e-mail response to my inquiry (Hi-lighting mine) So what's up in Austin? Dear Applicant, Thank you for giving the Department the opportunity to respond to...

Re: Disturning reading...very disturbing.

Was I the only person that caught the fact that CityCopDC, who seems to be the major instigator in this mess, appears to be from Washington, DC?

Recall the case before the Supreme Court now, and where it all started?

What would you expect?

Re: CCW weapon recommendation?

I really like the Smith & Wesson MP 9c. +100 on the S&W M&P. :thewave I have two 9mm's, one full sized and one compact. The full sized is a bit large for CCW, but the compact is perfect, IMHO. Available in 9 mm and .40 cal. A .45 compact is in the works, I think. You should be able to f...

Re: Clear Lake Hospital/ Warning Sign Wording

Anyone know how/if the various Memorial Herman hospitals are signed?

The one in Humble (MH-NE) has some wording like "Weapons are prohibited on these premises". Not a conforming 30.06 sign by any view.

My two Looper belts arrived and I've been wearing one for the past three weeks or so. Delivery was a bit slower than promised, but I'm very happy with them. Perhaps not the highest quality leather I've seen, but for the price, they are a real good deal.

Likewise at the stores in north Harris County. The only time I've ever found a warm body behind the counter was once while two people were restocking the cases, and then I had to wait for them to finish yacking with each other before I was waited on! Even stranger, I have to wonder ===> if th...

True. I was not sure that the Museum was considered a "school facility". I don't recall that the Institute was part of UT when I lived in SA and visited it 30 years ago, but it may have been. I sent back the following: Thank you for your reply. As a Texas CHL holder, I strongly disagree wi...

Institute of Texan Cultures in San Antonio

This place is listed as a UT San Antonio Campus. Is CC thus prohibited in the museum, a popular tourist attraction? (at least when I lived in SA many years ago.)

One place that sells manuals for various weapons is HERE .

I bought one of their manuals at a gunshow for a P38 I inherited and it contains a wealth of information, covers total disassembly and reassembly. You can order a download on-line for instant gratification.

San Antonio

From time to time I've seen threads here that make me wonder what I need to be aware of regarding CC in SA when I visit there in a month or so.

Any big "No-No's" that differ from the rest of TX?
