I think the reason might be because they have to verify all those through various databases, that is why it takes like forever

57 days and i am still waiting for the mail man...

It will take about 5 - 8 days for background check, then it depends on where you at, it will take another week for you to have your plastic..they started my background check on the 19 of march, i got my license in my hand yesterdaySirTexasSir wrote:Called today as I'm finally back in town from work. UPDATE
02/13/15 - Email from DPS acknowledging they received my supporting paper work.
03/16/15- Got home being out of town and found out they need a copy of my DD214 still (sent it with supporting documents I thought. Uploaded copy and mailed a copy to be sure.
03/17/15 - Email from DPS acknowledging they received my Support paper work.
Moving my status info from Feb to here to better track. So Friday I'll be on my 3rd week since acknowledgment email. Wondering if folks notice status change on certain days mainly and a time of day? I'm currently out of country for work and won't be back until some time next week. Though I do pop on and try to check every couple days on the site and nothing yet. Hopefully soon.

Finally after 7 weeks, submitted paperworks 5 times, called dps more than 2 dozens times..my plastic will be mail out within 3 days..

So mine has been going for 6 weeks already.. I submitted everything on feb 15th, got confirmation email on feb 16th. I called this morning to get an update, obviously, they just started my application on march 19th..now i gotta wait for another 2-3 weeks..so looks like i am not going to see my plastic any time soon till mid april..
