Re: Is this normal?
The process might take longer than usual with natural citizen because they will have to validate your status with DHS, and then do your background check. So if i have to make a guess on time frame, i would say 14-20 days before you have your plastic.

Re: Is this normal?
They will try to speed up your application, but no time frame will be given. But the good thing is whoever specialist you might end up talking to will personally do your application, and they will give you their direct phone line to contact them, so you dont have to call dps and wait on the line for 20 mins. Mine is still processing but given the fact that i only got in touch with them within last week, should be done and out within 10 days, that what i've been toldvacierto wrote:How long did the process take after u did that?

Re: Is this normal?
You have to call dps and ask for a specialist, just tell the prep that you return a call from a specialist. Then when you get in touch with them, just tell them that you submitted your paperworks awhile back ( just tell them about 4 weeks ago), then just say that you have been asked to re submit it several times. They will give you their email so that you can email it directly to them. They will take it from there.vacierto wrote:how did you get in touch with a specialist? did u call dps or?

Re: Is this normal?
That is somewhat normal for people that is not born in U.S; as the matter of fact, it happened to me too. I submitted everything on feb 16th, called on march 10, and they didnt have anything. End up have to get in touch with a license specialist to send my chl-100 and born out of country doc to her..only when they have those docs, then they will start the processvacierto wrote:So first off, I had to redo my fingerprinting cause it was rejected. Found out Friday that i had forgotten to submit my Born out of Country documents, which I submitted electronically together with my CHL100. Called the other day to confirm that they have everything already and was told that they're still waiting for these documents? Is this normal? Also when exactly do they start the process? Do they wait to get everything (CHL100, Out of Country Docs, etc) before they start?
