Some on here have questioned why political capital is needed if Republicans hold majorities. Maybe this is why, I guess he could hold other bills hostage if this one moves in the Senate.mojo84 wrote:Apparently, there is much we aren't being told. I suspect it comes down to egos and Straus playing king.
I also said "egos". It's not just Straus. I think we have some middle age children running the show.

Re: Campus Carry revived, attached to open carry
100% agree. Open carry doesn't 'carry' much weight if I'm still restricted in my daily life of where I can carry. I'll take either, but campus carry needs to get done. Original hb308 should get done.txcharvel wrote:If our constitutional rights are being regulated, I say that carrying legally in more places takes priority over open carry. As such, I feel that campus carry is more important than open carry.
In fact, I wish open carry was not the issue it's been the past couple of years as it only fuels the unfounded arguments and fears of those that opposed campus carry.
Open carry means nothing to me really, I can still carry concealed. What's important is my children, friends and coworkers being able to protect themselves while at work or in class.

I still have my hopes up for some movement on Campus and Open Carry. We (card carrying background checked law abiding citizens) deserve the right to both.

Re: Campus Carry revived, attached to open carry
Lets just hope that these bills (both of them) get to the floor in some form. I truly don't care if Campus carry is an amendment or a full on bill. Let's just get it moving!
