I have carried a 1911 for well over 20 years, and a SIG 229 while working for 7-8 of those. I am left handed and have NEVER felt the need for a left handed mag release, nor at any disadvantage for not having one.

Ambi safety is a must on the 1911, but all other controls can easily be operated in their standard configuration.

As for the SIG(s)...the mag release and decocker are easily manipulated in standard configuration by a leftie.

Lefties are used to adapting to a right handed world. No need to incur the expense of creating a mirror image gun when its easier, and more practical to improvise, adapt and overcome :patriot:
