Re: Air Force tells brass the can OK guns on base

Like this, this is rich: "None of these programs gives the installation commander authorizations they didn't already have the authorization to do," Maj. Keith Quick, the Air Force Security Forces Integrated Defense action officer, said in a statement according to Military.com. "We ar...

If you dont mind indulging my ignorance, what are they looking for specifically on exit? Making sure you're not stealing hazmat or things you could make NBC type devices out of?

Re: BSA Bans Water Gun Fights

Oorah, Daddy Wisdom was my great great Uncle. My brother and I had our Eagle ceremony at the amphitheater there as well. If you remember the story, he gifted the land after he had started allowing the BSA to camp there after finding a group of scouts praying. The organization has come a long way fro...

Re: Concealed carry while employed by the State?

Murica. Good to hear. Lk BW is our default get away location with the kiddos. Funny how you can go 45 minutes out of Abilene and they have these things called "trees" and "hills"...

Re: Concealed carry while employed by the State?

Airborne, Just out of curiosity Lake Brownwood SP has a "no firearms" sign. Pretty sure its not Corps land and its State government so my interpretation is that the sign=N/A. What kind of training/instruction do y'all get as rangers regarding weapons as far as CC with CHL or in vehicles/RV...

Re: What kind of trouble if I forgot to bring my CHL

The military is even getting on board with "Soft Copies". I got tagged for random inspection coming on base one day at my last base and didn't have my insurance. I showed them the PDF file from USAA and they weren't good with it because they "Couldn't verify I hadn't forged it". ...

For the less technically inclined, configure the camera to save snapshots into a directory that is synced with google drive, Dropbox, etc and just use the phone client to access them. No firewalls, FTP servers, Dynamic DNS etc.

Re: Different Twist on RV Question

That's what we had been doing but wife and four kids don't like Texas summer nights with no AC. Not certain but it seems like running a genset in the Walmart parking lot is a bad idea so we found that city park. Looks like we are back in the market for a location lol.

Re: Different Twist on RV Question

No kidding. That's really unfortunate because Lucy Park next door was really great and it's a good stop between Tulsa and Abilene for us. If there's a track record though it may be just best to avoid. The location right off I-44 probably doesn't help. Thanks for the input. We want to be safe, but we...

Different Twist on RV Question

Tried some searching but "rv" is below the four character limit. Searched some related terms and couldnt find this nuance. I know the rv is considered my residence when parked. My question is regarding the spot that I rent. Is there any analogue there to my yard say at my house. That prope...
