Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?
Yes, I have spent a lot of time there (and still have friends and relatives there) but mostly further south in California. Yet, here in Texas is where my daughter and her family are so I will mostly stay here but thanks for the suggestion. It's too bad that you have not met some nice folks in California but they are there, lots of them. The Annoyed Man wrote: ↑Fri Sep 14, 2018 10:10 amAre they Americans too? Barely. You should spend more time out here .... like I do. Hell, maybe you’d like it better here than back in the free states.dale blanker wrote: ↑Thu Sep 13, 2018 10:58 pmHey wait, what? Aren't Californians Americans too? Shouldn't they be interested in other state's politicians whose vote can effect them? Could that Beto sign belong to a Texan who happens to have a place in California too?The Annoyed Man wrote: ↑Thu Sep 13, 2018 8:06 pmNo. It would not be better. They are California democrats. They deserve the state they’re getting ....because they helped to screw it all up. I’d rather let them stew in it. But that doesn’t change my opinion of their posting a Beto sign in their California lawn. What are they trying to do? Encourage Californians to vote - illegally - in the Texas senatorial election?dale blanker wrote: ↑Thu Sep 13, 2018 12:06 amHey wait, what? And you're not even a neighbor? The Annoyed Man wrote: ↑Wed Sep 12, 2018 9:46 am So I’ve been in California since last Friday, and will be flying home this Sunday. A funny thing happened on the way to the beach yesterday. Right in the middle of Pasadena, somewhere along Del Mar Blvd, we drove past a house that had a BETO yard sign out front.
Don’t think for a moment that out of staters with no morals aren’t trying to flip Texas from the comfort of their own homes (assuming they own them). I’m thinking of making a Cruz sign and sneaking over there at night before we leave and putting it in his yard next to the BETO sign.
How do you know they're immoral? Wouldn't it be better (and safer) to have a talk with the resident(s) and explain the error of their ways?
But if you want to vote for that lying cretin, be my guest.

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?
Yes, but shouldn't we keep trying to find politicians with character that we respect? Shouldn't we believe what Trump and Cruz have said about each other? And in spite of what they have done, could we have been better off without them??? Things to think about...stroo wrote: ↑Thu Sep 13, 2018 4:20 pm Something I don't understand is when a politician actually does in office what he promised to do in his campaign and then people get upset with him for doing what he said he would do.
This is happening to Cruz and Trump. While I don't think either are terribly likable people, they both have kept their campaign promise unlike about 95% of all politicians.
