Re: Armed robbery of 40-50 people
Folks seem to think using deadly force in these circumstances should not be an issue legally. Folks also seem to say this went well (based on how it ended), and using deadly force would not have been a good idea with some many folks in the resturant. Not to be blood thirsty, but I can think of one b...

Re: Can you afford to defend yourself ???
Has anyone been involved in an incident and paid for legal representation?
I also hear what it would cost, well can anyone tell us what it did cost.
Of course this is obviously a personal issue, but it would end some of the debate.

Re: Can you afford to defend a third party?
I am all about helping strangers. I am not all about risking my life for a stranger (unless at work). Sounds odd, but walking up on a scene you never know who if anyone is the good or bad guy (sometimes they could be both). No problem calling a cop. Now some cases would be different, like a man in t...

Re: Armed robbery of 40-50 people
In an situation like this, what would happen if you shot one of them in the back? I mean they are robbing folks at gunpoint, wouldn't your life be in danger? When one of them or both depending on how they are working are at the table across from you would you be justified in shooting them? It would ...

Re: Inheritance
Maybe everything is legal, they just described the wepaons improperly.
The uncle did have them for 20 yrs and he is honest enough to give them to her when she turned 21.
Whole thing could be above board.
If not, I do not want to know.
Good luck to her.

Shush, Let the antis think all guns are registered. Otherwise they might come up with some law requiring it. Use thier knowledge (or ignorance) against them. For example I was once told that assault weapons need to have strict controls over them. I explained assault weapons already do, talked a litt...

Re: Do you regret your vote for President?
I did not really vote FOR McCain. I like to say I voted against BHO, and checking the McCain box was the way to do that. ;-) What is sad is that in some states your vote does not really count. I mean Texas was going to go for McCain, so even voting for BHO really does not influence anything. I think...

That is very, very scary. I wonder if the folks junping up and down really understand what the hammer and sickle and che represent? I wonder if they have been around the world and seen some of these countries that have done so well under communism or socialism. I wonder if they understand the right ...

Re: Soccer dad pulls gun on coach's husband - Lubbock
Granted we do not know anything other then a skectchy news story. My point was there is a great deal we do not know, so I chose not to pass judgement. I will say one thing I thing most will agree with. There is a lesson here, that many of us already know. Life is a "life or death situation"...

Re: Soccer dad pulls gun on coach's husband - Lubbock
Just wondering if any more on this came out. Very interesting thread. Thought I would add in a point that has not been brought up (if that is possible). Maybe the female coach yelled at Burke, you know something like "I will not let your kid play because you are coward who fathers children at a...

Re: Beretta 92 as a carry
I carry a 92 Centurion. There are many great holsters. A few of my favorites, all IWB. The Galco summer heat (or something like that). Nice leather IWB, comfortable and stable. Comptac - Gurkha and C-TAC. Both work fine. Each a little different but work. Bladetech - IWB. First one I used, worked fin...

Re: Let's Hear It For Virginia Tech
The article says the group is protesting so Congress will make it a requirement that a background check should be done at gun shows, what a great idea, everyone who has a FFL should be required to comply with a law that requires a NCIC check or the purchaser have a CHL. Maybe that is not a bad idea....

Re: Acaemy's new gun sale policy (GRRRRR)
The Academy here has an odd policy. When I bought a handgun I had to be walked out the store, I was not allowed to hold my purchase until out the door. Odd thing was I showed him my CHL to speed up NCIC check. So he knew I had a CHL, I could legally carry a loaded handgun concealed all day in the st...

Re: Gun show + 3% credit card use increase
Although I do not like the idea of adding 3% to a sale, it is my call to purchase the item or not. A few times the % mark up was still a good deal in my estimation, so I paid it. I understand the dealer would not want to lose some of his slim profit margin on a sale, but how much does a CC company c...
