I know the Benelli Nova and Supernova don’t like them. Being both chambered for 3.5” shells likely doesn’t help. Haven’t tried them in my 1301 but as noted above I’ve heard they’re a no-go as well.

They may actually be helping to keep enough traffic on the site to keep it active. My fear is that it’s just the opposite. When I come here and the recent topic list is dominated by reposted articles it makes it hard to wade through to find relevant LTC and self defense discussions. I know it’s dri...

Phillip, I know you mean well by posting articles constantly. But I for one would appreciate some commentary on them, i.e. why you felt the need to post it, or why it’s relevant to this board, etc. Also, the “Mean streets of …” title is getting old.

Re: ATF Released New Proposed Pistol Brace Rules
Can I increase the barrel length by permanent attachment of a muzzle device to turn my "pistol" into a true rifle? My specific example is a 12 inch 9mm. Since 9mm and 223 barrels are both threaded 1/2X28, I am considering permanently putting on an XM177 flash hider. Yes, no issue going pi...

Re: Anyone Else Remember Gibsons?
We have a Gibsons in Weatherford. Their firearms section is huge, and they sell more guns than anyone else in the area, including Academy and Lonestar. All the LEO's shop there. Great selection, great service, great people. It's also a hardware store, clothing store, toy store - like a huge old tim...

Re: Question about Threadlocking compounds
I’ve been using Vibra-Tite VC3 for some time now. Mostly in applications where I might want to remove and reinstall screws with some regularity. The screws that attach the handguards on my Aero uppers for instance. Also use it on holster tension screws. It’s enough to hold them and keep the screws f...

Re: Changing flash hider on a .223 Wylde?
With shims it’ll be a trial and error process to get the right amount and thickness of shims. Just keep test fitting till you get there. Of course that’s if you’re using a flash hider that needs to be timed. Usually a true flash hider (only) won’t need timed. Whereas a brake or combo unit will. Any ...
