And he's right, there was no slamming or hijacking. For all any of us know he could be talking about walking down the street and playing in the neighbor's driveway, which is a far cry from a public court. Either way, its worth it to remember that along with the privilage (including CHL) comes greater responsibility. Thus we all need to make sure we take appropriate cautions as the situation calls for them.BrassMonkey wrote:In the interest of not getting into an argument, ok, but this is not a hijack, this directly talks about a point you indeed just made, immaturity, which goes hand in hand with young people by definition.
In addition, a forum is about public discussion, remarks and contributions belong in the public viewing space, I did not slam him, nor do I have any idea who he really is. If we take everyting to a PM, then the public forum serves no purpose and nobody else can contribute or share their point of view.

Well, it’s been said time and again, but I'll reiterate the fact not to tell anyone. I really didn't tell anyone, but anyone that is around me long enough will find out, either through my trips to the range, or the store to buy ammo, etc.
I don't really have a problem with the CHL issue (most people that are ok with guns are ok with CHLs), but what I do have a problem with is that most people my age (25) and younger aren't familiar with guns other than the news stories they hear about.
As for my friends though, there were 3 of us that got our CHLs at the same time. Haven't had to change my lifestyle any, just have to be more aware of when you're entering new places and looking for 30.06 signs. I still party, but a lot of time I just chose not to drink because my desire to have my gun on me overrides my desire to have a beer. It also means that a lot of the parties I go to have at least one (me) DD.
Either way you just have to be conscious about your surroundings and yourself.
