Re: Hassle at Lakeline Mall
My wife was in Austin all week for business conference. She called me today, told me she was at a mall (not sure which...maybe the one being discussed). She told me she checked the mall entrance, and found no signage, so she carried her concealed G26 IWB. As she walked out of Hot Topic, to her horro...

Doctors fire patients (especially noncompliant ones) all the time. Patient's also fire doctors all the time. God bless capitalism.

Opinions on the new XDs .40?
Found a pretty good deal on these (less than $400 before shipping, etc for the gun and the Essentials pack). Have any of you guys tried the gun? If so, would you recommend it? It's a really good price...I'm very tempted. If the reviews turn out bad I'll just add a Glock 23 to my growing little arsen...

Re: Are "split" signs legal???
This might be splitting hairs, legally, and I don't know how far this would get with an LEO trying to bust you for carrying past it, but I just noticed these "split" signs appearing more and more frequently. Why are you looking to get past the intent of the store owner? If they have the s...

Re: Inside waistband holster ?
I wear an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.0, and love it. Very, very comfortable. Since they'll sell you different shells that are interchangeable on the neoprene backing, I ordered one for my G26 and one for my G19. I've worn both extensively, and they are barely noticeable when I wear them just above my r...

I had a beautiful and delicious center cut pork chop last night at Saltgrass. It was better than any steak I've gotten there.

Re: Longhorn Steakhouse Common Sense Policy on Guns
Saltgrass in McAllen apparently has a similar policy. I open carried my Glock 19 there one evening after work, and had no issues. The manager stood right beside me, carrying on a conversation with my wife and I...never even glanced at my gun.

Re: Alien Gear Gun Belt
I haven't used the AG belt, but I got a great gun belt for christmas, and was shocked at how much it helps with concealed and open carry. The one I got is the Hanks Amish Belts 1.5 IN - The Gunner Eagle. It's about $40 and works wonderfully. http://www.hanksclothing.com/hanks_amish_belts_gunner_eagl...

Re: About to apply for CHL
You should list them all, if there's a chance they'll come up on your FBI background check. If you fail to list some, and they find them, you're likely to be denied your LTC.

Re: Do you carry at home?
I live in the Rio Grande Valley, 8 miles from the border with Reynosa, MX...home invasion robberies have become very popular down here with the cartels and the street gangs. I carry at home. I keep the gun on my belt because I have an autistic grandchild in my home.

Good luck. Practice carrying at home while you wait.
