I have noticed a couple sources who have advertised their price for the chl around here and I'm not willing to spend 150+ on a chl class. I don't care if they feed me lunch or take me on a horse ride. I just want to take the class and take my written and practical tests.
There is no difference among the scoring. There is a standardized test. You fire 50 rounds each worth up to 5 points. You must pass with 70%, or a 175 out of a possible 250.Also, another consideration is that I'm not a pro shooter yet with handguns. I have always been an long gun guy and have just recently gotten into shooting handguns. The more lenient the instructor is on the shooting practical the better.
