How Long Did It Take ...

My status took 26 days to change. I had to call and email to get a PIN.

My time line is:

June 02, 2007 - CHL Course at Lonestar Handgun in San Antonio
June 04, 2007 - Mailed packet to DPS/CHL
June 06, 2007 - DPS officially received packet
July 02, 2007 - Received Pin by Email After Calling DPS/CHL
July 27, 2007 - Found out CHL Instructor goofed up my TR100 Form
July 30, 2007 - CHL instructor sent corrected TR100 to DPS and me
August 02, 2007 - Received new TR100. Drivers License incorrect
August 02, 2007 - Notified CHL instructor again.
August 03, 2007 - Received third TR100 form, this time correct.
August 08, 2007 - Application Completed, license issued or certificate active.
August 10, 2007 - Received license in mail.

Door to Door = 65 days

Errors were made on my TR100 Form three times by the instructor. That slowed down my application and I have no idea how long.

Good luck. Even with my problems, it was just over two months. Yours is bound to be faster.
