Re: 1911 Front Strap Cheese Grater
TRP is a great gun, congrats. A competent gunsmith should be able to take down that checkering in about 10 minutes, it will have to be recoated though.

Re: The 1911, My First Love
Good choice. My Sig 1911 has been the most reliable 1911 I've had, straight out of the box. Very accurate too.

Re: Missing tourist submarine at Titanic wreck site
https://apple.news/AA1VfoiWiQQ-NXwOmmxMQ9w All 5 members of submersible tourist craft are dead. RIP Craft imploded. Article above is about Navy hearing it when it happened. Implosion would not have been my first thought about how it went down. Caught on debris, electrical failure or a small leak th...

Re: Converse, TX: Woman steals full auto HK MP5 from the range.
Pretty stupid. Stealing a Machinegun is a good way to end up in prison. If you or I did it absolutely. When degenerates steal/possess machine guns they get a plea deal for a misdemeanor. Look at all the Glock switches confiscated that never get charged for, but if someone has a 15.99 inch rifle, th...

Re: If Not a Bolt Action, Which Is Better, Straight Pull Bolt, Lever or Pump?
Because of problems with my right shoulder and wrist, I have trouble working the bolt on a traditional up-back-forward-down type of bolt. And since I don't care for semi-autos, which is easier to use, more reliable, and more easily maintainable, a straight pull bolt action, a lever-action, or a pum...

Re: Out Of State Vehicle Purchase
Also, if you buy it here,yo pay the sales tax on the actual price of the vehicle, but if you buy it out of state you have to pay the sales tax on the retail book value of the vehicle. That is rarely what you think it will be or close to what you paid. It's now the standard presumptive value or actu...

If y'all haven't listened to Gallagher's interview on the Shawn Ryan Show, you really should give it a listen. Also if you don't listen or watch SRS you're really missing out. Some incredible stories from some incredible people, both inside and outside of the military.

Re: Out Of State Vehicle Purchase
I suspect that the market around is not too much different anywhere else right now. It's been miserable for a couple years now. Dealers can barely, if at all, keep new vehicles on their lot and that's driving up the used market. You probably already know this. For anything worth getting or for what...

Re: Out Of State Vehicle Purchase
The big issue for me is not knowing how trustworthy the mechanic in another state might be. Unless you know someone already, it would be a crap shoot. The only question would be how much added to the cost paying for the on-site mechanic inspection, how reliable and trustworthy it will be, travel to...

Out Of State Vehicle Purchase
I'm looking for a diesel Ford 3/4 ton Lariat, 2017+ (50k miles or less) and the market around here is a joke. Dealers asking almost MSRP, if not more on a 5 year old truck. However, I have found a number out of state that fit the bill, but have never ventured down that road. I'm very mechanically in...

Re: Day 365 of my 90 day eform4
I have an Obsidian 45. You’re gonna love it. Ruggeds modular cans are neat. One that did clear in the 230ish day window was a Micro30. Like it a lot. https://i.imgur.com/AZ3x51A.jpg https://imgur.com/a/kU7Svtu Crazy how similar our builds are. Optics, can, trigger, receiver set being about the only...

Re: Day 365 of my 90 day eform4
I have two certified 4/26 that are still pending, and an eform 1 submitted 1/5 that is still pending. I've had eform 1's take as long as 240 days before... I had a form 4 take like 460 days. I have most anything NFA I care for at this point, but I'm sooo done with this. I get on the NFA subreddit pr...

Re: GOA files suit against draconian ATF gun ban
NRA is in it as well along with 25 states and the GOA. Does it seem to anyone else that the NRA is always the last to the table and consistently waits until there is a wide social movement before making a stand or filing a lawsuit? Is that the case or is this a one-off? That may be a question bette...
