Re: pistol powder bulk
I think every one who reloads should take stock of this current shortage. Develop a plan on what type of powders to keep well supplied with. With Handguns my 3 powders would be: 1- Bullseye (or WW 231) Works in almost all handguns. 2- Unique (or Herco) these are good for shotguns and cast bullet loa...

Re: Open Carry
In my opinion, the fear of open carry will go the way of the fear of concealed carry. It (concealed carry) was going to cause un-mitigated death and destruction. Blood would turn all of our rivers red! etc etc etc. Once concealed carry passed all the fear was shown to be vapors in the guts of libera...

Re: Bulk Primer Pricing
I have been living off gifted primers since I started reloading a couple years ago (thank you uncle-in-law :thumbs2: ). The time has come to start making some bulk purchases. The best deal I can find online is 2.8 cents (for a 5k purchase). I am not sure if that is closer to business as normal pric...

Private schools are the answer, leave the public schools. Your child is in danger at them, mentally and physically.

Just got in 3 eight pound jugs of AA-2520 from PV and 1500 64gr Nosler BSB from Shooters pro shop. Since I already had plenty of brass and primers I can breath easier now!

Re: New gun show at Live Oak, TX- short report
FEAR is driving this shortage, until this fear is resolved people will buy and hoard ammo. Every time a scum demo yaps about a new gun control scam the people will buy even more.

Re: What's the recommended barrel length on AR for hunting?
Here is my take on hogs and deer with the 223, AR-15 or bolt platform.
Keep velocity around 2700 to 2800 FPS
Use a 60 gr or greater bullet (Hint Nosler 64 gr bonded bullet)
Keep range less than 200 yds
16" BBL will easily achieve this
Aim straight and have some fun!

Re: Helping each other out through the ammo shortage
All I can say is learn to load your own. Learn to cast your own handgun bullets. Keep a good 38 special or 357 mag revolver in you stable. This brass is available and 3grs of bulls-eye or similar powder loads 12,000 rounds per 8 lb jug. Keep a good 30-30 carbine and learn to cast your bullets for it...

45 ACP Brass
Hi, I just got 2000 45 ACP brass from Leadandbrass.com for 85USD per 1000. It all looks clean and once fired. If you need some they have about 13,000 available.
Now I need to cast up a couple thousand bullets!

Re: M1 Garand sighting in today.
I think you enjoy will the rifle and shooting the normal Winchester and Remington 150 gr Factory loads will not harm the beast. Hold on a second. Are you talking about modern ammunition? Does anyone concur with this? If you pull the factory ammo bullet and weigh the powder, you will know if it will...

Re: M1 Garand sighting in today.
I think you should fill the paper work out and buy some HXP from the CMP. It is 100 USD per 200 rounds in a 30 cal ammo can. You can then pull the ball bullet and seat a 150 gr soft point bullet in it's place. This makes for more accurate ammo and is great for hunting. I like the Nosler 150 BT, but ...
