Re: What brought you to getting your CHL/LTC
When I turned 21 last year, I save up almost all year to be able to buy a shield 9mm and pay for all the CHL/LTC stuff, and as soon as I had the funds available I did what I had to do. When I was 4 years old, my dad was shot during a robbery, and because of that, he ended in a wheelchair, luckily it...

Re: Loooking for a good carry 1911
I've got a Dan Wesson ECO in .45 acp, and I'll say, it's one heck of a 1911. It is a bit pricey, but the crafrsmaship is superb, and it's very accurate. To be honest, it conceals very well, I have a harder time concealing my g19 than I do the ECO being that the ECO is much slimmer than the g19. If I...

Re: Strange new Walmart ammo policy attributed to Open Carry
I've bought ammo at Wal-Mart many many times usually only at our local (tomball) Wal-Mart. Ive only been escorted to the front once, and that was because the register for the ammo counter had been closed for the night (9:30 on a sunday). We got to the self checkout lines, the man gave me the ammo fo...

Re: Cinemark "no guns allowed"
Our local one also only had a 30.07, and on the texas 30.06 website, I saw cinemark as 30.07 only. I guess they have more common sense than Edwards and AMC

Re: A few words can say a lot..... (re: an 06 sign)
I would have told him if he didn't want to get robbed, he should take the .06 down and allow law abiding citizens to carry to minimize loss of any of he gets robbed. I got a .06 taken down at our local corner store, and the reason he put it up was a similar misunderstanding.

Re: Accused Terrorist Wanted to Bomb Galleria
I'm glad that scumbag was captured, people like him do not deserve to be in our great nation and feel the benefits of freedom. He openly said he hates America, let him slowly waste away behind the bars of an American prison to give him a real reason to have negative feelings towards our country. Als...

Re: College Kids - Desire to carry
I'm 21 and just received my LTC in early December. Currently I'm working on my major in political science with hopes to go to law school. Since I don't drink, not smoke, my extra time is spent honing my skills at a range. Being a member of the chl/ltc community was one of my main goals when I turned...

Why not have both, dan wesson makes an exceptional 1911, officers size in 9mm, and or 45 acp. (ECO)Hot Dawg wrote:All 9mm as of now, my wife wants a 1911

9mm- 90% of the time :woohoo 380- 10% of the time :eek6 I will begin to carry .45 acp when when I can find a holster I like, when I have a few more rounds down range to feel more more comfortable with my 45 since it is my first. :fire :fire :fire Always hornandy critical defense, regardless of the c...

30.06/30.07 confusion
Could the reason signs have been popping up everywhere be that there is a misunderstanding of the meaning of the two signs. I came up to our neighborhood convenience store and saw a 30.06 posted, but the laundry place next to it is 30.07 posted. They are owned by the same person, I know the guy. I a...

Re: Why a 1911?
Everyone has their reasons for a 1911, here's mine. Accuracy, trigger, weight, and looks :coolgleamA: I have a few polymer guns and 1 1911 with more to come very soon. The salesman at my lgs explained the 1911 comparing them to cars. He said polymer guns like glocks, m&p's, and xd's are like hon...

I've seen only one, I was in a jack in the box. I was carrying as well, but mine was under a shirt and a thick jacket.

Shield 9mm in an uncle Mike's iwb holster, or in a safariland gls holster using the belt option instead of the paddle. :coolgleamA: It depends what I'm wearing. Sometimes I wear loose shorts, sometimes I dress decent with jeans and a belt. :banghead: I'm making every effort to acculturate myself to ...
