(4)(a) Upon receipt of a report described in subsection (2) of this
section, the department shall ensure that a firearm purchase hold record
is created that prevents the person from receiving a unique approval
number authorizing the person to purchase a firearm
for a
period of 30 days from the date of the report.
This is why gun registration is bogus, it leads to knee jerk reactions like this. Boo Oregon.
