Re: 2A lawyers in Texas
good points about the best defense attorney. but the question still exists: are there good defense attorneys who are willing to handle 2a work? and how does a relative innocent find them. I've taken enough in the way of self-defense training to know the value of such but have no clue as to how to fi...

Re: Introducing my wife to shooting
1. Read some of other posts on teaching your spouse to shoot. ( see the Ladies section or google the topic) 2. Encourage her to read Kathy Jackson's Cornered Cat web site and book. 3. Have either a professional or trade with a friend, whose skills in both training and shooting you respect, to teach ...

Re: Your thoughts/opinions please on a gun purchase
I never have been able to figure out how to conceal carry a revolver on body. They may fit well in guys pants but most women's pants that I wear don't have pockets that big or that loose. A 9x19mm sa, single stack like the Taurus Slim, the Walther PPS, the Kimber's and Kahr's are small enough to car...

Re: Good gun belt?
Love both Beltman's and Comp-Tac's belts but there is a problem with all of them. If you are wearing a clingy fabric or something like a tunic that that is somewhat tight around the hips, these belts stick out even if there is plenty of room. You end up looking sort of weird. They are great for tuck...

Technically one cannot charge an upcharge for use of credit cards, the cc companies will shut you out. You may however price as if cc were to be used and give a discount for cash or cash equivalents.

Re: gunsmithing school?
OK, in the meanwhile does anyone know of a good school that teaches machining skills in the Houston area? HCC supposedly has an Industrial Technology or a Machine Shop assistant program but I can't find adequate detail when I go to their web site. What goes? Any one know?

Re: Slightly discouraged and in need of advice
Since it is for the next 20 weeks, I suggest you look at something in a neck carry holster in either vertical or horizontal. http://www.stellarrigs.com/gun_neckchain_rigs.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; They make them for the LCP and P3AT's and the .32's It gives you on...

Re: Considering an AK
If you want to build your own, look at SMARTFLIX's ( http://www.smartflix.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ). They have 2 video's on building the AK that you can rent. If you find you can tolerate the presenter, you might then buy the DVDs for the printed materials. not a...

Is there some one in the Houston area that offers a course like that?. It's been a number of years but it might be worthwhile to get back up to speed.

Re: Interesting Church Carry Discussion
May I suggest that if you are relying on your CHLers in church, that y'all need to get a plan of action together. Confusion in response to an attack is likely to produce more problems. If the police/sheriff in the area is sympathetic, you might ask him to at the minimum address them. If not, you mig...

If you truely pause 5 seconds, and then tap; OK. Too often lately, there will be a horn blast immediately upon the horn turning green. I drive a manual transmission and it takes a while to get started.

look at http://www.f1design.us/05_projects/04_k ... /index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for using a vacuum former to make a kydex holster. The instructions are good, if a little complex. There are a number of You Tube sites on making a homemade vacuum former.

clear nail polish works great. It you are compulsive about it, you can make a little template to protect the leather.

FYI, they have changed the backing on the comp-tac so that there is now more leather. I personally like backing a local company.
