Re: Does anybody here still carry a revolver?

I just picked up a .357 LCRx and have been carrying it in a Concealment Solutions Cobra OWB holster. It is a lot more comfortable and lighter than the Steyr 9mm I have been carrying for several months, and even in OWB setup it is not as noticeable as the Steyr in my IWB holster.

Re: Does anybody here still care a revolver?

I carried a 3" SpP101 for a time (but traded it away), but now it is a Steyr subcompact. I plan to get another SP soon, and maybe an LCR to replace the Steyr.

Re: Wheel gun carry

When I had a 3" 686+, I purchased a Tucker and Byrd SST holster and they added a thumb break for a nominal fee. That was a great holster.

Re: Ruger LCR 357 holster help please

For a while I had a P30sk, which may be a similar size to your LCR. I carried it in a Concealment Solutions Cobra OWB holster, and it carried nice and snug to my body. The two plastic clips allowed for quick on/off transitions, as well. That was probably my favorite holster to date, but they don't m...

Re: Who Carries A Snub Nose Revolver

I do not know if a 3" SP101 is considered a snubby or not, but that is my daily carry in a OWB leather holster, with a Polo-type shirt to cover it. If I am wearing shorts, then it is a S&W 360j in the pocket.

I use Underwood 125gr +p Gold Dots in my lcr. They are pretty stout for being only .38's.

Re: Gun 'mistakes' in Books, TV, and Movies - feel free to post your own

I was watching an episode of Agent Carter some time ago and Carter had put a gun in the back of a bad guy who was in front of her. There was the sound effect of a revolver being thumb-cocked into single action, but the gun she was holding was a 1911 and the hammer was up, as if it was a double actio...

I particularly enjoy the We Like Shooting and Guns Over Texas podcasts for 2A content.

I also enjoy Tea and Jeopardy for fantasy/scifi/geeky/British content.

Re: What firearm do you want to get next?

My EDC is an XDS 9mm, but I want to eventually get a double stack pistol. I keep looking at both the XDM compact 3.8 and XD mod 2 service. Both seem to be of similar size and capacity, and I am unsure of what one can do that the other cannot. The xdm seems to cost a bit more from what I have seen.

Re: School / Church Question

I have a similar question. I go to church that also includes a church school in the same building. From what I have gathered, the church owns the building and that is its main purpose and the school is an off-shoot of the church. I don't carry there if I happen to stop by on a weekday (my wife is em...

Re: Springfield XDs 9mm 3.3 ESSENTIAL Black (I pulled the trigger)

I recently purchased an XDS 4.0 in 9mm. This is my first single-stack nine (normally I pocket carry a Ruger LCR) and so far I really like carrying it. I purchased an all-kydex IWB holster from Cook's Holsters and a single magazine pouch from them as well. This is my first all-kydex holster (this one...
