Re: 2nd amend becoming meaningless
This thread has been interesting and informative. I figured it would since most people are pretty passionate when it comes to rights. The comments seem to boil down to this: my Constitutional rights are guaranteed only when I'm in a public place. Step onto private property, be it a business or someb...

Re: 2nd amend becoming meaningless
I'm not trying to play the simpleton here. I know it's a complicated issue and has no easy and quick answer. I just thought some folks here might have some thoughts on the subject.

2nd amend becoming meaningless
The 2nd amend says the people's right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Yet I see my right to bear arms being infringed everywhere I turn. How is it that these "no carry" signs that are popping up everywhere are not un-Constitutional? Where is the exception that allows property...

Re: Mardi Gra Galveston
I can't think of a worse place to open carry. Pickpockets .. Drunks and Fights all over the place. People standing shoulder to shoulder. At any rate anyone going there should be very careful, whether you're CC OC or unarmed.. :iagree: Open carrying in a crowd of drunks and party people is a very ba...

Re: 30.06 and 30.07 signs at gas stations
I suppose taking the gun off my belt and leaving it in the car would allow me to pump gas without committing a violation, right?

30.06 and 30.07 signs at gas stations
If this has been covered already, my apologies - I missed it. My question is this: do the signs being posted on the doors of the gas station store/cashier building prohibiting carry, both open and concealed, extend to the pump area as well? Can I pump gas while carrying if I never enter the building...

Re: Apartment Complex Signage - Odd Location
My apartment complex hasn't posted any signs on the property yet, but there is still no open carrying on the property in the common areas which they inform me is everything outside my apartment door. The prohibition against open carrying is contained in my lease. No mention of concealed carry so I ...

Re: "Printing" under 30.06
Don't worry about printing. If in a 30.07 make sure your shirt completely covers the gun and if anybody ask what is under your shirt tell them is a cellphone or if they are really snotty tell them its your catheter bag and ask them "Are you discriminating again someone with a disability?"...

Re: I Need a New EDC
I've never had one single glitch with my LC9s. One thing to check, however, is that your gun has the new cone shaped return spring guide rod. Early models of the LC9 had the flat ended guide rod and there were some problems with that. Ruger will supply the new design guide rod free of charge. Mine c...

This is exactly what I do. I wear suspenders and keep my belt a little loose. It's comfortable and doesn't put pressure on my stomach.Pawpaw wrote: Have you considered adding suspenders and wearing your gun belt a bit looser? If it works, it would be a lot cheaper than buying a new pistol.

Re: Who has been approached at a gas station with someone begging for money?
This used to be a real problem at the Kroger where I shop. Beggars were stopping people coming in and out of the doors. I complained to the manager and apparently they listened because it's not such a problem now. Open carry does have a positive aspect here. I only conceal carry, but the last time I...

Re: 15 Reasons I Carry Daily
I carry too and for much the same reasons. Violent crime is occurring all around us and we see it everyday on the news. Faced with a threat I like to think I might be able to defend myself if I'm carrying a weapon. But the weapon is not a guarantee that you will be able to do so. Fact is I was the v...

Re: Dallas Diocese posting all churches .3006 and .3007 !!
Wal-Mart is owned by the shareholders of the corporation, must they give you permission via a resolution to carry past a 30.06, or will the local store manager do? Does the Holy Father have to issue a Holy Writ for you to have permission to carry, or must the College of Cardinals hold a vote? What ...
