Deferred Adjudicated Probation - Time Limit Question
Hello - In 2009, I was charged with possession of $30 worth of methamphetamine. In June of 2010, I was placed on 3 years of Deferred Adjudicated Probation, and successfully completed the probation in June of 2013. It's behind me and I don't associate with anyone who uses drugs since then. Does the 1...

Re: Disqualifiers for getting a CHL
I got it narrowed down - I'll be able to get a CHL, because my deferred felony wasn't a title 5 offense, nor was it penal code 29. I likely will have to wait until 2020 to qualify for the CHL, however I understand there is one loophole that might cut that back to 2018.

Re: Disqualifiers for getting a CHL
This sounds like what I was told by an attorney awhile back. The felony charge that was deferred was for possession of less than 2 grams of meth, that charge was in 2009. I began the probation in June 2010. He said after 10 years for sure, I could likely get a CHL, but possibly even after only 5 yea...

Disqualifiers for getting a CHL
This is coming up more and more. People are asking me questions I can't answer. Anyway, I and some others would like to get a CHL here in Texas. Here's one list of criteria I found. I have questions about this: Q: What persons are restricted from holding a Texas CHL? A: CHLs are forbidden to individ...

Sawed Off Shotgun
Here's a question:
For a sawed off to be legal, I understand the barrel must be at least 18" long. No shorter. And then 26 inches overall from end to end.
Does this mean we can also cut back the stock, as long as the overall length is 26", with a barrel length of 18"?

Re: Smith and Wesson M&P Shield
I really appreciate all the responses to my posts. This form is clean and respectful, and is run right! About my choice for every day carry - Im still in question, and will take my time. I appreciate the elaboration on the Shield. Im still interested in it, but now, Im also considering a Glock 43 or...

Re: Glock Magazines
What do you mean, "flush?" I just looked at every model on Glocks website, and none of them are flush. They all protrude.

Glock Magazines
I'm thinking of buying my first Glock. Ive done lots of online research, and one thing Ive noticed about every model, the magazines, at least in the pictures, seem to protrude from the stock. As if it doesn't fit right - it's that way on every model Ive looked at. Can anyone tell me what the deal is...

Makarov 9 mm
Today I came into a Makorov 9 mm. Interesting pistol, with equally interesting history.
Anybody have any experience with this one? Please elaborate.

Re: S&W Model 19 Pinned & Recessed .357 Revolver
Great knowledge being shared here. I still really like my Model 19-4. And that was an interesting perspective to read about - why the "older" 357 loads didn't cause the problems like the newer ones did, back in the day. Also, it would have bother me too, to do most of my training with 38 l...

Re: S&W Model 19 Pinned & Recessed .357 Revolver
To say it never was intended to use a steady flow of 357 doesn't make sense. It's either a 357 Magnum revolver or it's not, just speaking from a logical po int. I have some LE people in my family who carried the Model 19, and still swear by it. I have a 19-4 and it's probably my favorite revolver. A...

did they realize the cone problem after the fact?puma guy wrote: S&W 19's shouldn't be fed a steady diet of .357 loads.
