The DA refused to file charges based on the letter of the law. What the hospital did after the fact, I do not know.

I just received an email from the Bedford Police Chief. He stated that the DA declined to prosecute, based on the wording (not being exactly as it states in the statute) of, not only the sign posted outside the building, but also the wording in the hospital employee policy manual.

How about asking for written permission? Hospitals are usually pretty accomodating to physicians. After all, they are the people who bring in the money.

Is the hospital actually affilicated with the church? I don't see any indication on the website that it is.
