I was also very impressed to see that we had both TV and Internet access the moment we got power back after Ike. I know a lot of Comcast customers who didn't. Chas.
And many still do not.

:iagree: That was not a factor in my decision. For three months, after I moved to a new house, Time-Warner kept billing me for cable services at my previous residence. Eventually they turned me over to a collection agency for not paying for services that I did not use. I could never talk to anyone who would correct the problem so I refuse to do business with Time-Warner or whatever they currently call themselves. :mad5

I've been happy with Verizon DSL. I don't upload files, so I have no idea about speed. Downloading and surfin' speed is fast enough for me.
