Updating the status takes manpower and dollars. Would you rather have people spend their time processing your CHL application or updating the computer?Ameer wrote:That would be good to display but it still requires the applicant to be proactive and check their status.Domineaux wrote:I think this type of situation would be much improved if the DPS online CHL status actually better shows the state of the application. Instead of "Application Processing" for months (in case of a letter sent waiting for further information), actually showing "Awaiting Application Response" would help an applicant to know that they might not have received something from DPS which they should chase.

Re: Student's Application for CHL Terminated after 90 days?
I have never heard of this happening, but apparently it does. I would send an old fashioned letter to the DPS person who is in charge of the CHL program. I don't know who that is, but I am sure one of the other instructors has the name if you do not.inertiajason wrote:I was very clear on what needed to be sent in but I do feel bad for the guy as mistakes do happen and for him to lose his application fee simply because he didn't receive a single letter that was sent seems somewhat unfair I would like to think they would make more of an effort before just writing off someones application. Any thoughts comments suggestions? -Jason
