That would be good to display but it still requires the applicant to be proactive and check their status.
:iagree: Updating the status takes manpower and dollars. Would you rather have people spend their time processing your CHL application or updating the computer?

I have never heard of this happening, but apparently it does. I would send an old fashioned letter to the DPS person who is in charge of the CHL program. I don't know who that is, but I am sure one of the other instructors has the name if you do not.
