This is factually INCORRECT, I have been stopped and asked if I have my weapon prior to giving my DL or CHL to the officer, so it does show up in some form or fassion.

I think your instructor was wrong. The CHL is linked to the drivers license of the CHL holder, not the license plate of a car.GlennGAH wrote:My CHL class was in January and the Instructor said that when a LEO runs your plate during a traffic stop, their computer alerts them that the registered owner has a CHL.
