With 2000 calories in each MRE, you can probably choke down enough calories stay alive before you can't stand to eat any more. At least that's what I did in my college dorm's dining hall. :lol:

If you are looking for a week supply, there is no reason to consider price or shelf life. You and your family are not going to starve in a weeks time. Since your investment is small, buy the best and most palatable food that suits your tastes. Eat some of the food to see which dishes/products you like and rotate your stock. If it expires, throw it away and buy new stuff.
