Wow, I don't know what to say. Thanks. It looks like I may be picking up a G19 in a trade Thursday (for a rifle that was living in the back of the safe). A lot bigger than the XDs but it will work.
If you do get it, I would love to hear your take on the difference between the two especially related to recoil and follow up shots. I have toyed with the idea of trading my .45 for a 9mm if there is a significant difference in follow up shot placement.

I can tell you that the 9mm XDS weighs more than the .45. The reason is the difference in the weights of two barrels of equal OD, but one with a 9mm bore and the other with a .45 bore.
