BTW, this has nothing to do with having a CHL, being armed or unarmed. It is about the responsibility that individuals have for each other in a civilized community.
Like MoJo said, if you want to be a cop, go to The Police Academy, and be a cop.
One need not be cop to intervene in the assault or worse of another.
Nor does one need to have a CHL.

Kensterfly wrote:A post in another thread got me to thinking. If you were in a large crowd situation (parade, street fair, pre-game tailgating, Saturday afternoon WalMart parking lot) and trouble came your way, wouldn't it be nice to yell out a verbal signal that would bring other CHL holders running to assist you?

Sort of like the Highlanders of Scotland once used: "A Douglas!! A Douglas!! and the whole clan would come rushing into the glen, claymores drawn. A similar number of responders might be the result in Texas!

One board member said his instructor suggested yelling "CHL!!! CHL!!" You'd need something that would easily be heard and understood by the CHL community.
Maybe a simple Carry! Carry! Carry! Of course, the word would have to get out throughout the land for this to work.

Just wondering.
Very bad idea, IMO. What is the point of having a concealed handgun and then yelling out loud that you have a concealed handgun?
