The only "valid" 30.06 sign I have ever seen in person was at a city-owned government building.
Even though the law says it is not enforceable, I did not carry.

Re: Sign at entrance to property (not door)
Given your history, I figured that was the case.Abraham wrote:My post was tongue in cheek.
If I see an out of spec 30.06 sign, I still adhere to it...I'm not one to push the limits.

Re: Sign at entrance to property (not door)
I am not sure whether to take your question seriously. There are many new members and new to CHL so some questions surprise me and others do not. There are always the few who seem to think that they can "beat the system" by being clever and trying to find a technicality or loophole in a law.Abraham wrote:As it is, many seem to think if a 30.06 sign isn't absolutely to spec it can be ignored even when posted in a proper location as in: The letters are only 1/2" high (not 1" as required) so it can be ignored or the Spanish language portion is missing, or a word is out of place, etc...
Am I the only one wondering if very large, not spec 30.06 signs anchored into the ground are legitimate and can be ignored? Afterall, they're not located in the proper place...
I am sure that some people do think certain 30.06 signs can be ignored. I think you know that there isn't a "proper place" such as a door to post a legitimate sign.

The Scott and White hospital logo caught my attention.
