OK, now you're just making sense. Everyone (on the LEFT) knows that's just stupid.
But, but, but... without Federal oversight how will we know that all children are receiving the same quality education across the nation?
We DO know, thanks to federal oversight, that they are all receiving the same CRAPPY education! "rlol"

Without federal oversight, it might improve considerably.

Corrected my own blooper above......
The left reminds me of a Ray Bradberry story I once read about a future world where the government had eliminated all that nasty competition by making everyone equal. Of course, the only way to do this was by reducing everyone to the weakest, and least intelligent of us all. People had implants that blasted them with noise to disrupt their thoughts, or wore weights to counteract their physical strength.

The only way to make everyone truly equal would be to reduce us all to a vegetative state. For some reason, the left (who pride themselves on being so much smarter than everyone else) fails to comprehend this basic truth.

I would encourage President Trump to start with a blank sheet of paper and list all the things that state's cannot do at a decent level without requiring assistance from the Federal government. Abolish any federal department that does not meet that standard.

Military, Interstate Transportation, and a few others should be all that is left.

You mean ex-sheriff Joe Arpaio. Unfortunately, on Tuesday Sheriff Joe lost his bid for a seventh term in Maricopa County. He lost to Democrat Paul Penzone.

Being a stickler for minutiae I had added a sentence on this but deleted it for brevity. Here it is.

Yes I know he lost the election but he is still the sheriff as of this moment, so the correct terminology is sheriff, I believe.

Calls for open rebellion

This morning I saw a protest where an illegal immigrant rights group was calling on state and local governments to defy any federal government orders for deportation of illegal aliens. Putting aside the irony that they are in agreement with sheriff Joe Arpaio that states should enforce immigration laws as they see fit, I am in agreement with the overall message that states and cities should stand-up to the over-reaching federal government and reassert state's rights.

I just wonder if they will be so quick to get behind a state's move to legalize the possession of automatic weapons, or suppressors, with no ATF regulation. Environmental regulations could also be tossed by the wayside.
