Re: "Waiting Room"
Definitely starting to pick up the pace. My wife was all in on April 20. Receipt plastic in the mail today (5/27/16). Just about five weeks. I waited almost 12 just five short months ago.

Re: "Waiting Room"
Welcome aboard sir. My confirmation date was January 21 too, although I had had everything submitted on January 15. My website status just changed yesterday and I am awaiting plastic within the next couple days. I would expect that you are probably fairly close as well. Amen on your thoughts about customer service.SplittinHairs wrote:Hello all, new member here. Found this thread while searching for Tx LTC waiting info. I am yet another Texan who has been waiting for an entirely too long of a time. I sent in all of my documentation online and received the confirmation emails on January 21st. I called about a month ago and after being on hold for about 20 minutes was told that they had my info but that it hadn't been put in yet, despite the fact that it should have been a digital copy... so I don't quite understand that bit. Anyway, how much longer should I expect to wait? Frankly I am getting extremely irritated cause I spent a lot of money for the most horrible service I have ever paid for in my life.

I suppose, but I've not seen it take so long. Well, good luck Griffen. OH..... That sucks sister. Sorry about that. Best of luck getting the documentation you need.Gnamaree02 wrote:SO...Looks like I'm going to be here awhile.
Call this AM: it's in background. Oh and you have something in background (I know. I disclosed the non disqualifying misdemeanor from 10yr ago) And a certified letter has been sent to you requiring additional info i.e. Certified Disposition. (And just great for me because it's in old records in NY, where they don't disclose misdemeanors if you only had ONE in 10yr: Misdemeanor Redemption!)
So now as I WAIT for post lady, who just leaves orange signature receipt in box rather than attempt to deliver, I'm twisting in the wind. And the NEW WAIT TIME Begins AGAIN!

Re: "Waiting Room"
Yeah, well my technical start date (per DPS) was 1/15/16, which was when my last submitted item was received. For some reason, a bunch of people that submitted from 1/13 - 1/15 never received a confirmation until 1/21/16. During one (of MANY) conversations with DPS folks, they all indicated that the confirmation letter is NOT the start date, the date that they "received" the last remaining documentation. The thing with the confirmation letter, is that it's hit or miss. If you don't received one in about a week, DEFINITELY call. I might mean they received anything and for whatever reason the auto-confirm letter did not go out, or that the submission failed somehow and they never got your docs. I would use whatever the last day you submitted something as your start date.Right_to_carry wrote:I'm glad to see people with 1/21 confirmation date getting approved! My confirmation is 1/25 so I have to be getting close........
Good luck and god speed.

Looks like I'll be getting up from the table soon. I live outside Austin, so I'm hoping today (optimistic), or in the next couple days to have plastic in hand. The long slog is just about over for me. Stay strong brothers and sisters... Your day is coming.

I would bet that you are either approved or getting ready to be approved at this point. I called my rep about 8-9 days ago and received a call back a day or two later and they indicated that they are on early-mid January apps and they'd get to mine in "about a week" (I was all in on 1/15/16). Sure enough, I got a call yesterday (3/30/16 - or 75 days) and they told me I was approved and being sent to print that day. They told me to expect my card in about 7 days, which will be 4/6/16, or about 83 calendar days from submission. Hoping it comes sooner, but at least I know it's coming.
Seems like most of the people getting plastic in the last week or so are in that Jan 5-15 range (between 75-85 days). You could call your rep, but at this point, if you haven't called or heard anything already, I bet your plastic will just show up or you'll see a status change prior to your rep being able to hurry the process along too much. Good luck and hope that you get your plastic soon.

Looks like the end of the tunnel is finally in sight for me. As an aside, it looks like if you've called for a status update (either through state rep, DPS Director or Governor), it may not hurry your app along, but it looks like they will call you when you get approved if you request it. That worked for me and a few other in the last few days or so. I do not think they will email you approval based on a few of the recent responses.

Re: "Waiting Room"
Well, its your choice of course, but personally... I think that you answered your own question with the last line. If you submitted online, you should have gotten something. Most others did... even if it was delayed. I was "all in" on Jan 15 and did not see anything for about a week, so I called and the rep confirmed that all my stuff was in and it looked good. I then received an email confirmation a few minutes later. If you were all in on the 2/1 that will be your "clock start" day. I have since confirmed that 1/15 is my clock date, but little good that does me at this point. Sitting at 63 days with nothing.Minus7shooter wrote:Hello everyone.
I see some people's posts state that they received a confirmation email following the submission of their CHL class paperwork. Here is my timeline.
1/21 Submit online application. Receive email from DPS with barcode
2/1 Completed fingerprinting, received email from MorphoTrust
2/1 Submitted completed class certificate online with DPS. DID NOT RECEIVE EMAIL OF ANY KIND FROM DPS following submittal.
Now waiting. Should I be concerned about not seeing an email from them saying that all information needed has been received? I would hate to wait 60+ days and then find out my clock hasn't even started.
Thanks all.

Personally, it can't hurt to call and confirm that all your stuff is in since you did not receive any confirmation.
