how long have you been waiting for fingerprints to clear?LTCinHouston wrote:So far I have not talked to anyone higher than the supervisor. The only thing anyone from Austin has told me is that they are "waiting on the FBI to clear the fingerprints." I plan to call again today after lunch time.GlassG19 wrote:Did they get someone higher up above supervisor & if not what did they (supervisor) say when you asked? What did the person above supervisor say if they did get someone?
Thanks Pawpaw for the advice, I'll send them a note or give them a phone call and update when I hear something.Pawpaw wrote: Yes, you can call your state senator's office.

Re: Sent renewal in on Nov. 28 via Internet ...
I'd put money on the fact that your are a victim of their "IT issue" as I am. I called 3 times yesterday before I got a straight answer. Essentially this "IT issue" means they lost your fingerprints in the database; your prints didn't get attached to your application properly. It takes WEEKS to fix I've been told, and they have to submit the issue to their processing department for it to be fixed. if they didn't notify of this I would call back asap and ride them to get this straightened out. I have no come across about 20 new applicants that received confirmation up to 20+ days after me and already have their plastic. They told me this "IT issue" was rare but I don't think it's a rare as they'd like us to believe.LTCinHouston wrote:Guys, I got bad news...
I renewed my license in October, approximately 87 days before expiration. I received a confirmation email the following day.
I have called and spoke to three different people on the phone; each one reminds me to wait up 45 days to renew. I offer to them that I have waited about 100 days since I renewed online.
They dig a little deeper and tell me that it is still in the "fingerprints under review" stage. After a few calls and four weeks, I get a call back from a supervisor (she did not give her title and I forgot to ask), who tells me that my license... is still in the "fingerprints under review" stage.
Is there anyone we can talk to about this that is higher up the chain?

and it's still taking them this long on a renewal?jbayless71 wrote:Got a call back in response to the e-mail query I sent them awhile back. My application is apparently at the "fingerprints under review" stage. It's a renewal, so they are using the same ones I submitted back in 2010.
I'm a new applicant, everything submitted and confirmed on 12/4 and I've been in the "fingerprints under review" stage for a month. I called two days ago and they said they haven't been accepted or rejected and don't know what's going on. In the mean time, there are new applicants who submitted 3-15 days after me that have already received their plastic in late Jan and in the last several days. You should've already been processed as a renewal. Something is going on and it needs to be straightened out.
