Re: LTC Popularity
My take is that the passage of open carry, plus the sharpened political climate which seems to require making known your political stance (which carrying certainly does), has opened up the discussion much.

Re: Good place to buy bulk ammo.
Freedom Munitions in NW Houston has decent prices. Also it's pretty easy to find a 10% off coupon on the back of Kroger receipts. I have had good luck with their 9mm, though a 500 count box of 38 special contains more squibs than I have ever had in my life and is unacceptable. If I get through my 10...

Re: Nancy Reagan has passed away.
I think that they were the most genuine of first couples in my lifetime. Ronnie, with his cowboy hat and flannel shirt, riding horses with Nancy is a good American picture. Now we have Mr. mom pants riding a girls bike with the wife not in the picture. Things have changed.

Re: Best Way to Stretch a Holster
Wear it around the house for a few weeks with the gun in it. Drawing and re-holstering it occasionally (maybe good to keep the gun unloaded) A bit slower than the other methods, but worth the wait, if it is a good leather holster. A cheap leather holster will soon overstretch however you break it in.

Re: Ted Cruz A Texas
Cruz could definitely bring home the pork as President. That is worth a lot.
But my dream team is Trump as President (Hail Mary pass that if it doesn't work could be easily impeached), Cruz to replace Scalia, and Rubio as Vice President.

We need to control our borders. That is rule #1 as a nation.

Driving though the neighborhood on the night after Ike. Looked like a scene out of some end of the world movie. Total darkness, destruction, and not a cop in site. Decided having a license to defend myself was a good idea.

Re: Are Obama related gun purchases just death throes?
socialists and their ilk have depressed a lot of folks in recent years here in the U.S.A. Back to Mayberry for a moment, a lot of you, in fact, I guess most of you missed my point altogether. Yeah, yeah, I remember milkmen, heck, even ice men, and not locking your door and so on, but it wasn't like...

Re: Are Obama related gun purchases just death throes?
Ruark, Sorry ole chum, but those were great days, for some... I too am a product of the fifties and while I miss some of the positives, I don't miss any of the negatives of which the list is quite long. Mayberry RFD never really existed. Mayberry existed for many. Me included. Doors never locked. F...

Re: Are Obama related gun purchases just death throes?
The decline of this country has been planned and worked on for years. Education has been replaced by indoctrination in many schools of so called higher learning for years now. The dumbing down of America has been a successful program. We are seeing the results more and more with younger people advo...

Re: Are Obama related gun purchases just death throes?
I will cling to my guns and religion until the blue helmeted UN troops fast rope from the black helicopters into my back yard. Then they'll march me to the FEMA camps where they turn us into Soylient Green. I guess that is one vote that I am overly concerned. But to me the trend is obviousl...

Are Obama related gun purchases just death throes?
I used to worry that the lack of border security, the decline in a uniting common language, and the lack of a common culture would sink this Country. I don't worry so much anymore because the outcome is clear and irreversible, and because I am old and will soon be gone. The welfare state tower of Ba...

Copied this statement from another thread: "The questions you would have to ask are who owns the tramway and who owns the land the tramway is operated on. If the land is owned by the state, then the tramway cannot post 30.06 or 30.07 unless it falls under the exceptions in PC 46.03 and PC 46.03...
