Re: Alligator defense question
I was almost in a situation like this hunting in Louisiana swamp. I was still pretty warm after Thanksgiving and I nearly walked on an alligator that was under some floating vegetation. He came up and thrashed around and I quickly backed off. If I had needed to shoot him. I would have and then calle...

Re: Insurance companies
This is true. If my windshield is damaged, and can be repaired, I will pay nothing. If it needs to be replaced I will pay my $100 comprehensive deductible and they pay the rest. This is also how state farm works and I have recent data. Replaced a windshield on my F150 last year. Also the safelite f...

I have a VP9. I think it is a great gun. For the vp9sk vs p30sk it would depend if you want a striker or hammer fired. The p30 also has a few different trigger options.
VP9 and P30 share the same magazines also.

Re: Carry rules for non CHL citizens
On thing I would like to add about your gas station situation. I understand that we can't control who goes to a place of business at any time but if it's a bad area and you have a choice should avoid these places of business. Legally carrying or not it's better to just avoid situations you feel migh...

Re: Person hit by gunshot at Red's Indoor Range in Pflugerville has died
Some ranges prevent you from renting a gun if you are alone and do not have your own gun. I assumed this was because of suicide risk.
If you bring your own gun and are alone, they do rent you other guns. Just in case someone mistakes me saying you can never rent a gun if alone.

Re: AR options for the Lefty?
I'm a lefty and use a right handed spikes tactical rifle. I have never noticed the brass. It hits the deflector and flies off to the side from what it looks like on the ground. I put in a dual side safety lever, ambi charging handle, and the type of mag release linked below. I am probably 50/50 on u...

Re: Active Shooter reported at Santa Fe High School
I personally think a lot of the issue is social media. It gives a false sense that everyone's life is better than yours. It's rare to see people post about the bad in there life on social media so it looks like all lives but yours are great. As an adult we know this isn't true but I imagine this is ...

Re: Kahr P9
I have a CW9. The Kahr is slightly thinner and the trigger is a longer pull but it doesn't really have creep it in, it is a smooth pull. If you look up how a Kahr operates you will see the striker needs to be pulled back with the trigger quite a ways compared to other striker fire designs. That's ho...

Ranges around McKinney
So I recently moved to McKinney and now that things are settling down I need to get back to a range. What are my options in the area? For now I'm looking for pistol but later somewhere for carbine and rifle.

Re: Laptop display problem
I have an hp I use with a dock. If the screen is closed it will automatically go to the external monitors. So if computer still works to the point it knows the screen is closed you could try that. But you are also going to need an external keyboard and mouse.

I second looking at savage though if you are left handed like I am some features are not on the lefty versions. But they seem to have the best lefty selection the last time I looked.
