HtxRed, I hear ya. and I honestly used to think the same thing. then you go walking down some steps and the thing falls smooth out of your holster, and meets you at the bottom step. nothing but a few dings in the finish, but still, who wants that?
I know, a $7 holster is hard to pass up. and I have two! so I feel like I can say, that as long as you know the limitations/faults/advantages of whatever holster you're wearing, so be it.
try one of those $100 jobs, and you'll see some differences. shewt, it may even make you realize certain flaws you didn't even know a certain holster had!
I know when I carry my M9 in the IWB uncle mike's sidekick, I can't sit down without it coming up and out of the holster.
all I'm saying is try some different stuff, you'll be surprised. and no, you don't have to spend a Grip to have a holster system that fits all the right categories of need that you have.
