Just be aware that if the "moment" is not obvious, ie bg approaching gun in hand pointed at gg, there's only one hand, probably the non-dominant hand, to deal with the bg's encrouchment. Also, the hand could become trapped in the pocket, especially if there's limited arm movement as if seated, near a wall etc.. Some food for thought.
I tend to think of things like, if someone comes up and starts some chicanery while I'm at a red light, I could let off the brake, which will cause the ol' truck to lurch forward, which could give me the time to draw, not to mention get me off the X for a moment.
there are plenty of other sichy-ations I ain't thought of, though...
