It has to be an administrative or technical issue because new applicants have been getting theirs pretty quick.

Update on my case: RSD called me (!) on Friday to tell me that my LTC mailed out on February 24th. I am still waiting for it to show in the mail.

That's 136 days from time of online renewal. I think if I had renewed sooner, it still would have taken until 24FEB because it sounds like they had to wait on the FBI to release a bunch of fingerprints. At least that is the feeling I got from making several calls and talking to them. Tihs is pure speculation on my part though.

I renewed online in October.

I called today and they said that the fingerprints were released today. The rep. on the phone said she did not know how much longer after this point. I did not ask what were the next steps. I'll update when the license is in hand.

So far I have not talked to anyone higher than the supervisor. The only thing anyone from Austin has told me is that they are "waiting on the FBI to clear the fingerprints." I plan to call again today after lunch time.

Thanks Pawpaw for the advice, I'll send them a note or give them a phone call and update when I hear something.

Re: Sent renewal in on Nov. 28 via Internet ...

Guys, I got bad news...

I renewed my license in October, approximately 87 days before expiration. I received a confirmation email the following day.

I have called and spoke to three different people on the phone; each one reminds me to wait up 45 days to renew. I offer to them that I have waited about 100 days since I renewed online.

They dig a little deeper and tell me that it is still in the "fingerprints under review" stage. After a few calls and four weeks, I get a call back from a supervisor (she did not give her title and I forgot to ask), who tells me that my license... is still in the "fingerprints under review" stage.

Is there anyone we can talk to about this that is higher up the chain?
