Most criminals aren't that smart, are likely to be impaired, and suffer tunnel vision focused on either the goodies they're after, or their escape route. There have been at least a couple of videos circulate that show someone trying to pull off a convenience store robbery while a uniformed police officer is standing at the counter.
BG qualms about shooting someone seem to be dropping. We already see robberies where they come in shooting first, not knowing if anyone is armed. I don't know that being visibly armed is going to make someone start shooting when they're not already of a mind to do so.

So, if you buy a gun in a New Mexico Super Wal Mart, does the manager commit a crime when he carries it out to your car? What about when you're just trying the gun on for size in the store, do you commit a crime because there is alcohol for sale across the store?apowell wrote:You could already carry it in your car, and they are an open carry state, so you could carry it on your belt anyway (though it screams shoot me first), and you still can't carry it into ANY place that sells alcohol, even for off-site consumption, like the gas station/stop-n-rob, grocery store or Wal-Mart. I guess I can at least carry it to the toystore and the mall.
Ain't it a shame that politicians have caused us to ask questions like these?
