Re: After shooting phone calls
[Pre-paid legal service] advises something along the lines of the following: Call 911, tell them you have been a victim of a crime, that you need police and ambulance to respond to where you are. Hang up, call [Pre-paid legal service] emergency line. Stay on the phone with the attorney, even when th...

More importantly that bike is not capable of going 200mph. :iagree: Average superbike/bulletbike only does up to 165+- (maybe they meant 200 KILOMETERS per hour?) Average rider isn't capable of operating it at that speed for any distance Average police car tops out at 130+- But over a long chase th...

Re: Posted but manager says ignore it?
Like the old lawyers joke goes, "a verbal agreement is not worth the paper it's written on". Let's say the X gives you verbal permission to carry, and that X really does have the authority to do so. Worst-case Hypothetical situation: something ugly happens while you're there. you draw and...

I call bull on that guy going 200 mph+. There are some fast bikes out there but it is pretty hard to get over the 200 mph mark.

It isn't their right to block traffic and disrupt downtown Austin in the manner they are doing.AndyC wrote:Protesting - peacefully - is their right. Let them vent and get it off their chests.

I'm a little unclear why these people aren't being arrested for blocking the roadway? I bet if the Klan was out there doing this heads would be rolling. On another note, there is some irony in democrats carrying a communist flag around mad about an election.

Thanks TAM, but you're post doesn't address my question...why do the remaining there, STAY there? Gorgeous geography doesn't explain remaining in a fascist state or does it? Are the remaining all fascists, super duper, PC fanatics? Short answer, yes. They like being told what to do by their governm...

Re: House introduces bill to deregulate suppressors
It's more likely to pass if they retain the $200 tax. I hope it passes as is, but politicians normally hate to give up a revenue stream. I'm just speculating, but I bet they would generate more revenue by passing this bill and reducing the tax to $100. They'd surely make up the difference just on a...

Re: Kidnapping vs Aggravated Kidnapping
I'm pretty sure anyone trying to snatch your kid off the street is going to fall under aggravated kidnapping....Either way I'm not going to worry about splitting hairs on the definition if that happens. I'll protect my kid in whatever way I see fit and worry about the consequences later. No jury in ...
