Re: "Waiting Room"

Supposedly, once your application is approved, new options pop up on the website. They include links to change your address, change other information, etc.

I wouldn't know, because mine has never changed. But that is the status change that everyone is referencing.

Re: "Waiting Room"

All in date, 1-28. Still nothing.

Last Thursday, I got a message from the Governor's office that they had reached out to "Colonel Steven McCraw, Director of the Texas Department of Public Safety, for his staff's assistance in reviewing and responding to you and this office on the information shared."

I still haven't heard anything from Mr. McCraw or anyone else. The one time last week that--after holding for almost an hour--I spoke to someone at DPS, they told me that they had all of the documentation that they need.

Re: "Waiting Room"

As soon as I pulled the trigger on my last post, I received a notification from the Governor's office that they have reached out to the DPS on my behalf. I guess we will see.

Re: "Waiting Room"

All in date is Jan 28.
Last month, I e-mailed DPS and received no response.
Last week, I called my state rep and state senator, both of whom promised to look into it. So far, I've received no response.
Yesterday, I e-mailed the Governor's office. No response.
This morning, I called the number that has always previously resulted in: Our agents are too busy . . . hang up. But this time (7:45 a.m.), I was put on hold. After holding for 50 minutes, I got a live person (an extremely nice lady) who told me that my license was still in processing and to be patient.

So, the wait continues.
