Finally got the status change today I'd been hoping for the past 6 weeks. I think it is strictly coincidental, but I broke down last night and wrote Governor Abbott's office. Got up this morning, and saw the same old verbiage as always. For the heck of it, like the hundreds--maybe thousands of times before, I decided to check again this afternoon. Woohoo!, it finally changed. Had to pinch myself & check it again since I was so used to the "apply as an instructor" link burned into my brain.
