Thank you much! It sucks having to be cautious about who knows but at the same time I don't want to alarm anyone with a decision that I've made for myself. I'm glad to hear that your hospice work allows you to protect yourself. I wish you luck in both your endeavors. Both are tough jobs. Safe travels!koine2002 wrote:
Welcome aboard. I understand your concern about your colleagues. I'm in academia as an adjunct and also work in the medical world as a hospice chaplain/spiritual counselor. Although, everyone at our hospice company carries since we do in-home hospice care & many of our patients live in very rough neighborhoods.

Re: Introduce yourself
Welcome, Dragun! Awesome name btw, wish I had thought of it
I've recently become pretty enamored by sigs myself and have been looking at Sig 1911s trying to decide if they would be a suitable "big brother" to my P938. Perhaps i'll pick your brain about it sometime![fire :fire](./images/smilies/fire.gif)

Re: Introduce yourself
Hello everyone!
Name: LosAlce
Age: 27
Husband: loving and handsome
Occupation: Suffice it to say others in my profession would judge my desire to exercise my 2A rights. (Hint: academia)
Kids: 2 four legged fur babies. The barking variety
LTC: 3 days and counting!
Carrying: XD-S 45 in a DeSantis inside heat holster. I will admit, i'm very jealous of my husband's Sig P938 though. I'm still getting used to the feeling and trying to find a position that works best for me. Right now, 2:30 feels pretty good. I really don't want to do bag carry (I don't carry "purses"
) but I guess if i'm not satisfied with a position wearing certain clothes, that will be my backup until I work it out. Husband and I are kicking around the idea of "celebratory holsters" to celebrate getting our plastic in the mail earlier this week.
I'm glad I stumbled onto this forum because the wealth of information is incredible. This is going to be hours of fun. Glad to be here and hope I can contribute sometime in the future!
