Re: Where do I find....?
Is "disparity of force" in there somewhere? ... Not directly. But: "The threat of force is justified when the use of force is justified by this chapter." and "It is a defense to prosecution under Subsection (a), (a-1), (a-2), or (a-3) that the actor, at the time of the comm...

Re: Questions from AZ resident moving to Texas
Yeah.... I was planning to get my az permit to save $80, but ended up getting my tx permit since az requires a firearm course instructor to be nra certified. Instead of paying $40 for another course, I just got the tx permit. Another person on this forum told me that he was able to skirt the nra ins...

Re: Loaded chamber in posted 30.07 locations legal?
My appologies guys, i was brought up with knowing the dumb questions are the ones that arent asked. I guess i asked because i know other states define in more detail whether or not youre carrying legally, those other states also define laws while carrying you cannot have the firearm loaded. Some st...

Re: United Blood Services 30.06 sign need your opinion
If all they have is the 30 06 sign, cant you simply open carry? They didnt ban open carry, so it seems to me thats the way to go. Do you think for a minute that if they posted 30.06 they wouldn't ask you to leave if they saw you open carrying? Thereby, giving you effective notice. I guess the point...

Re: New to state and applying for Texas CHL
I am not a lawyer, but figgered it wouldnt hurt to toss in my observations. You are right to be concerned about taking all your arrests into consideration. Ive read several stories that people posted about their arrest records, and it can be a real pain in the rump. What I would advise is to compile...

Re: Gun insurance programs
Which company are you talking about? I went to the website of NRACarryGuard today. It is being advertised on TV by Dana Lash. Seems like they reimburse for expenses more than provide a lawyer and from what I can tell they don't pay if you are "found guilty". What we need is a Consumer Rep...

Re: Can civilians carry handcuffs?
Personally, I dont think it's a wise ideer. Altho I dont believe that it is illegal to own or carry handcuffs, I would strongly advise against doing it. I totally understand your reasoning for considering carrying handcuffs. If you have a habit of being in situations where your shirt rides up, or so...

Re: Gun insurance programs
Many times in my life Ive found myself in situations whereas I am in a predicament I wasnt expecting, or ever even heard of. In every case, I was not prepared, either emotionally or financially to handle the problem without it costing me more than I was physically able to cough up at the moment. Its...

I wonder how long it will take for all of us who paid $140 to get that $100 refund check in the mail.striker55 wrote:Governor signed the bill today!

Gun insurance programs
I recently acquired my tx ltc. During the required handgun course we heard a lot of stories regarding issues people who carry have had to deal with, especially after using their handgun to defend them selves. While I am fully aware that the speaker telling us about all the dreadful things that can h...

Re: Loaded chamber in posted 30.07 locations legal?
Just wondering if cc loaded is legal while in legal places to carry whether it be 30.07/30.06 or what have you. I always conceal carry 4 o'clock LOADED. 3 months with my LTC! Thanks in advance! Just out of curiosity, how would anyone know if your gun is loaded or unloaded? Maybe I am thick headed, ...

Re: Another signage question
When I went thru the gun class for my LTC, my instructor made it a point to emphasize that if a business does not want any guns on their property, they must have 30.06 AND 30.07 signs at every entrance. Even tho Ive seen people post here that the 'every entrance' requirement only applies to 30.07, I...
