After reading the reports in the waiting room the last few weeks, (BTW, I had to google the "where was the final battle for Texas independence skill testing question for registration...), I didn't think I would get mine until end of May maybe June. But mine just came in the mail today! I had checked the website yesterday (and everyday the past 6 weeks), but my status didn't change. I checked it just after I picked up the mail and it had changed, the same day I received the plastic!


Application paid: end of Dec 2015 (can't remember the dates)
Fingerprints: end of Dec 2015 (can't remember the dates)
Class: 2-21-2016
All-in (online): 2-21-2016
Online Confirmation: 2-22-2016
Emailed DPS: 5-1-2016 and got the standard, "hey...we're swamped and we're trying our best" email the next day.
Status Change: 5-5-2016
Plastic In Hand: 5-5-2016

I am a permanent resident, not a citizen, and I was worried that my application would be delayed, just like every time I purchase a firearm.

Anyhow, I am a happy dude and I leave the waiting room with a smile on my face and giving the "I hope you get served soon," look to everyone else.
