Charles L. Cotton wrote:I started this thread, now let me try to end it without actually locking it. Many of us have given our opinions about this issue, but Cruz's actions are now history, albeit recent history. The job now is to do everything we can to get Trump elected and Hillary to the political retirement home.

Join the NRA if you are not already a Member. Donate to the NRA/ILA. Talk to your friends and family and get them involved. As I said in a prior post, 2020 is not merely four years away, it's four years and four U.S. Supreme Court Justices down the road. If Hillary wins, it won't matter if Republicans sweep the House, Senate and Presidential elections in 2020, because a 6/3 liberal majority will control the SCOTUS for an entire generation.

:iagree: Nothing, I repeat nothing, is more important than keeping Clinton from taking control of this country. And if Republicans, Libertarians and Democrats who love their liberty and freedom don't vote that way, then God help us all.

LSUTiger wrote:Two things that I am certain of after Cruz's speach at the RNC:

1. I am voting Trump in 2016.
2. I am voting Cruz in 2020, RNC officials believe he is going to run in 2020 whether or not there is a Trump presidency. Right now I believe he will and I support it.

Cruz may very well be running for president of the Free Republic of Texas by 2020.

:iagree: That's what I was trying to say! Thanks. The proper words eluded my not fully caffeinated brain.

Re: Republican Convention: Cruz supporters planning trouble?

"We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately." - Benjamin Franklin

Going forward, all of us who love liberty and freedom, despite our differences, must remember to put aside those things and stand together.
There's nothing the enemies of the Constitution want more than to be able to separate us over petty arguments and lose sight of the big picture.

I'll leave you with another quote from that great "statesman" Jean-Luc Picard:
"The line must be drawn here! This far, no farther!"

:iagree:

Just wait until you see Islamofascist sympathizing towns sprout up in the nice neighborhood near you, like the ones in MN or upstate NY.
Wait until you see the first transgendered AG or Sec. of Defense etc. Until the BLM goons start to phase out our police force, after all, have you forgotten that BO speech years ago where he said that "we need strong civilian national force..."?

Wait until your kids or grandkids are driven out of their school seats, until we are overrun with infected people from hostile countries, with values incompatible with Western culture.

Just wait, and that's what you'll get if you follow Cruz and his ilk. Hillary in WH and our Country gone, with Civil War then being the last hope...
:iagree: Very disappointed in Cruz, but glad that he has fully exposed himself as part of the Republican elite interested solely interested in maintaining their own power.

You somehow believe that Trump will prevent that, or is materially different than Hillary, who is has regularly heaped praise on in the past.
I don't know what Trump will actually do, but I'm pretty sure what President H R Clinton will do and we should take our chances with the unknown.

You are doing Hillary's bidding and damaging 2A blindly.

What are you out to accomplish if you're not working for the other side? If you're just venting I get it. But it's always the same folks which make me think you know... :totap:

Hillary must be stopped and you're impeding our efforts.
:iagree: Stopping Hillary Clinton from assuming the highest office in the land is the highest priority.
